Where We Farm

Most of Washington's wheat and barley crop is grown in Eastern Washington. However, you can also find fields on the west side of the state grown for local use.

From seeding to harvest, Washington’s wheat farmers work with intention and compassion. Day in and day out, our wheat farmers work to provide safe, affordable wheat to the world.

Most of Washington’s wheat farms are family-owned and operated. Multi-generational farms don’t happen without sustainable practices and an eye for innovation.

Wheat has been cultivated in Washington since the 1920s! Nearly all of Washington’s wheat and barley farms are owned and operated by families.
